As say it is said in a proverb, “weight measuring is the guarantee of one’s health.” Armenian health providers now will have a good tool for this purpose. The USAID HS-STAR project has designed and printed Body Mass Index (BMI) calculator.
Body mass index is the correlation of body weight to height’s square. The calculator is aimed at easily measuring adult patients’ BMI and evaluating weight problems.
NCD prevention health massages are placed on the BMI calculator’s backside reminding providers about the main topics of health counseling. The calculator will be distributed among medical providers (PHC physicians, nurses, cardiologists, endocrinologists, etc) in all PHC facilities of Armenia.
